Introduction

The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. (Kansai EP) is a private power company, established on May 1st, 1951.We supply electric power to over 13 million customers across the Kansai region, including big cities such as Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara.
By supplying stable electricity at low rates and high quality service, we aim to realize happier lifestyles for our customers and to prosper the Kansai region. We continuously work on R&D and business diversification in order to harmonize the use of energy, environmental protection, and partnership with local communities.
To accomplish such goals, Kansai EP operates several power plants (hydro, thermal and nuclear) and various distributing facilities. Moreover, in order to purchase equipment and devices for these plants and facilities in high quality, competitive price and ideal delivery conditions, we expect to hold smooth and equal partnership with all our suppliers worldwide.
Kansai EP stresses fair business practices in conducting its' procurement activities.We also expect our suppliers to fully understand our procurement principles and the responsibilities that an electric power utility owns. |
