The average land price in Kansai is low compared to Tokyo Prefecture. Even in Osaka, the most expensive prefecture in the region, the price for residential land is about half, while commercial land is about one-third and industrial land is about 40% less than Tokyo.

Compared to an average rent of 13,370yen per tsubo (3.3 m²) in the 23 wards of Tokyo, the rents in every city in Kansai were under 10,000 yen, making it much easier for businesses to operate.

Monthly residential rents per 3.3 m² were significantly lower in Kansai than Tokyo.
